BUSINESS ADVISORY WEBINAR

BREAKING THE MOLD WITH BUSINESS ADVISORY

FIRESIDE CHAT WITH HAMISH MEXTED, CONVEX ACCOUNTING

  TUESDAY 13th SEPT 2022 |  12.00 - 1:00 pm

Our next TRACTiON for Business Advisory webinar is a fireside chat with Hamish Mexted, Founder and Owner of Convex Accounting.

Established in 2011, Convex is not your average accounting firm with Business Advisors and Chartered Accountants who don't quite fit the stereotypical mold, they believe business owners get the most from their Chartered Accountants when they’re talking about more than just accounting and tax, a philosophy that has helped them to expand their Business advisory offering successfully.

Our Facilitators, Aidan Parsons and Brad Eisenhuth, will discuss with Hamish Mexted:

  • What are the common misconceptions about Business Advisory that hold back practices?

  • How they integrated traditional accounting and advisory efficiently to grow their existing advisory offering.

  • The evolution of their leaders in reshaping their practice

  • The key to helping other practices achieve similar success within Business Advisory

Do you want to break the mold and build your Business Advisory offering successfully?

Join us live for this free fireside chat to explore what success looks like.

MEET THE PRESENTERS

HAMISH MEXTED

BUSINESS FOUNDER & LEADER - ACCOUNTANT - DAD

Hamish grew up in a family of self-employed professionals talking about cash flow, staffing, sales and profitability. He graduated from university in 2005 after completing a BA and BCA, with first-class honours in Accounting. Along the way, Hamish spent some time in a Big-4 accounting firm, which frankly, he hated (but gained some valuable insights) before he joined a boutique tax advisory firm. This is where he learnt the 'ropes' and completed his Chartered Accounting qualification providing specialist tax structuring and tax audit advice – primarily to other Chartered Accountants and Lawyers.  He realised there was more to life than tax and went off to France – teaching English and travelling. On return to NZ, he founded Convex Accounting in 2011 to help people like his family, and at the same time, challenge the stereotype of the dull, cardigan-wearing accountant.

He was born and bred in Wellington, a descendant of Ngāti Toa, grew up in Porirua and went to school in the Hutt.  Mainly defined by three kids, wife, and dog, when he is not at work he is spending time with his family (twin boys and a girl), playing the drums (hopelessly), or trying to get the kids to flip the record over so he doesn't need to get off the couch.
